For the majority of our projects, we recommend a hybrid approach - using a theme as the foundation of the Shopify site and adding custom code to suit the individual brands. What does this mean? The Kubix Process.

Once you come on board for a Kubix website, the journey truly begins. For us, transparency and goal-setting is the aim of the game. Whether it’s your Discovery stage, Concepts or when your project is deep into development, we’ll keep your business goals in mind throughout.

Scoping.

Before we even think about sharpening our pencils and getting our designers on the case, we’ll take your scoping call and proposal into account and consider everything your site needs. This might be an email integration, a wishlist, a product filter or even a reviews platform. Small things to consider, but each of your requirements is going to affect your overall design, and we don’t want to leave anything to chance.

Design & Development.

During your design and development stages, your Project Manager will act as your business partner to advise and report back on ongoing work. They will oversee your Discovery process, which is your opportunity to explain exactly how you’d like your Shopify store to look and feel.

During this Discovery stage, we get to know you. We’ll send you design-based questionnaires, boards and discussion points to fully understand your brand and how you want it portrayed on the big screen. Colour schemes, fonts, branding packs, - you name it, we’ll cover it off. We want to know what you like, what you don’t, and, most importantly, what your customers are looking for. Because it’s one thing to build a beautiful website - it’s quite another to get people to buy from it.

Before turning to a full design, we’ll present site concepts: wireframes, icons, headers, buttons and even new branding if requested. This allows you to provide us with feedback at every stage in the journey until we reach a design that you’re fully happy with.

Development & Operations.

After your final designs have been signed off, our talented team of Shopify developers will get to work on your visuals and code your brand’s personality into the world of Shopify.

Of course, we can’t forget your business operations. During the design and development stage, our Operations team will work in tandem to ensure your tech stack is up to date and all of your Shopify apps are integrated seamlessly.

Testing & Launch.

As we reach the final stages of your project, we’ll work closely with you to conduct Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing to ensure that your new site works beautifully on every type of screen.

And then? It’s time to go. We’ll hit that live button and get that champagne ready to go.

Putting the Power in Your Hands

As you reach the end of your project, it’s natural to be wondering how do I manage and make changes on my site from now on?

This is where our training comes in. Whether you’ve never seen the backend of Shopify before or you’re a seasoned e-commerce pro, we’ll take you through the necessary steps to be able to manage your new store with ease.

From changing titles and images right through to inventory management and app integrations, we’ll teach you where to find everything on your store and what you’ll need to do to manage it effectively, day in, day out.

Of course, once your store is launched, we’re not going anywhere. Our team is on-hand to help you through those early days as you navigate Shopify’s busy e-commerce waters. As you adjust to your new tech stack and sales reports, we’ll keep regular communication to ensure any final questions are answered. We also have a full in-house Shopify marketing team who can strategise, drive and grow your sales in time with your new site.
